For the Refinery Dialogue taking place on the last Thursday of May, The Refinery Club, a private member's club in Taikoo Place, will host a very special leader in the aviation world.

Captain Janet Leung from Cathay Pacific, an Airbus A321neo commander and a member of the Flying Training Development Team, will provide unique insights into see what it takes to lead with calmness, collaboration, and empowerment and how training and ongoing learning help prepare the next generation of pilots.

About Captain Janet Leung
Beginning her career as a cadet pilot, Captain Janet Leung now commands an Airbus A321Neo. Alongside her flying duties, she serves on the Flying Training Development Team, advancing training compliance and pilot development programmes. A dedicated aviator and mother, Janet exemplifies leadership through preparation, communication, and continual learning — values she believes are essential both in the flight deck and at home.

In addition, Eileen O'Connell will moderate this dialogue.Based in Hong Kong, Eileen most recently led alliances and partnerships for EY’s financial services clients. She is Chair of the British Chamber’s Women in Business Committee and a member of The Women’s Foundation Allies Circle, and has led successful fundraising initiatives for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation. She also recently joined the board of Inspiring Girls.
