At the Eight PR's head office in Hong Kong, we're always on the lookout for tech trends that can be leveraged in the public relations landscape. Our latest discovery is how voice notes are becoming common in communications and, for a change, sans AI.
Voice notes are not to be confused with voicemails. Voice notes are used in messaging apps such as WhatsApp and in the same thread.
There are many uses for voice notes including:
Internal Communication
Voice notes can facilitate quick and efficient communication between team members, especially for remote or distributed teams. They allow for more nuanced and detailed explanations than text messages, making them ideal for complex ideas or instructions.
Client Communication
Businesses can use voice notes to provide personalized feedback, answer questions, or give quick updates to clients. This adds a personal touch to communication and can help strengthen client relationships.
Project Management
Voice notes can be used to share brief updates on project progress, assign tasks, or provide clarifications on project details. This can be more efficient than typing out long emails or scheduling meetings for minor updates.
Accessibility
For team members who may have difficulty typing or reading long messages, voice notes provide an accessible alternative for communication.
Here's an example of how voice notes can be used to get across how people felt prior to the UK elections. These snippets of information allow people to click and hear different opnions.
